In the context of India, smart cities are cities that are blessed with quality infrastructure and provide decent quality of life to its citizens including clean sustainable environment and smart solutions. Thus, Indian city planners focus on developing four pillars of development viz. physical, social, economical and institutional for ensuring liveable cities. In Urban areas, the number of fatal road accidents are on rise, open source data is contentious, technological adoption of security measures is slow, and role of community laid resident welfare association is declining. Thus this track will address following four sub-themes.  


Sub tracks:

·         Safe guarding user data privacy including social media 

·         Increasing citizen security and crime reduction including Indigenous monitoring solutions and methods

·         Role of resident welfare associations in making community safe
