Application of IOT

and Smart Tools

Track Incharge:

Prof. Shamshad Ahmad (JMI, New Delhi)

Dr. Shabana Urooj (GBU, Greater Noida)

The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and connectivity which enables these things to connect, collect and exchange data. The IoT devices are a part of the larger concept, be it, industrial, organizational or residential. Benefits might include automated energy savings and hence gives birth to Smart Cities.

(IoT) is transforming every facet of the buildings – how we inhabit them, how we manage them, and even how we build them. There is a vast ecosystem around today’s buildings, and no part of the ecosystem is untouched. Since the lifecycle of building begins with design and construction, the scope of this session is open but not limited to the following sub-areas;

• Smart Grid and Energy Management

• Smart Tools for Public Safety

• Intelligent Transport System

• Smart Parking Spots and Payment

• Management of Solid Waste and Optimization of Collection Route

• Utilities Management and Operation

• Smart Home, Building Management and Operation Automation

• Building Information Modelling -BIM

• 3D Models of Buildings and 3D Homes

• Catalysts for Smart Building Projects

• Green Building and Landfill Waste Management

• Intelligent Prefabs and usage of RFID Sensors

• Smart Management of Construction Delays

Informative reviews are also welcome within the scope of this session.
